Best Halibut in Alliston for year round! A bit pricy but good. The fries always seem a bit over cooked, but we still order at least monthly for take out. The home made tarter sauce is good too. The shop is a bit rough around the edges but so worth the visit for the Halibut

It is uncomfortably hot and stuffy in this place. They need a/c and better ventilation, not just the two slow ceiling fans. I don't know how people were sitting there and eating.
Walked in to order take out, 1 young lady working alone. She said it would be a 15min wait that turned into 25mins, she apologized.
They need more staff!
Hubby and I agreed that the food was too greasy. The portions are fair to the price. -

I ordered 2 halibut and fries and 1 dinner special which was basa and fries and pop. The total was $45! I thought this was expensive for what I received. However, the food was cooked fresh, I had to wait about 15 minutes. I asked what type of oil they use to fry and I was told they use beef fat. The coleslaw was tasty. The fries were over cooked yet soggy but they gave a generous portion. Also, for payment, they only accept cash or debit card (no credit cards).
